The British Royal Mail has presented series of post stamps devoted to the most significant medical achievements of the country.
Penicillin
Creating of penicillin by Alexander Fleming, 1928.
Tomography
Developing of a computer tomography by Godfrey Hounsfield, 1971.
Malaria
Role of mosquitoes in the malaria carrying over, confirmed by Ronald Ross, 1897.
Coxofemoral
The first full prosthetics of a coxofemoral joint by John Charnley, 1962.
Crystalline lens
The first installation of an artificial crystalline lens by Harold Ridley in 1949.
Beta blockers
Synthesis beta blockers by James Black, 1962.
