National Egg and Sperm Donor Statistics

We Want Your SpermFor many people, the dream of having a child becomes a reality through strangers – donors of eggs and sperm, who may never know the children they helped to create. The business of sperm and egg donation in the United States increased by as much as 18 percent between 2003 and 2011.

2010 statistics posted by the National Institutes for Health note that the number of women between the ages of 38 and 45 years has increased by 61 per cent. Overall, the aging of the population and trends toward later marriage and single motherhood have fueled an increasing demand for the use of donor sperm and eggs for midlife efforts to conceive.

Since its beginning in the 1980s, the trade in donated eggs has skyrocketed, with over 150 listings posted per day on popular classified site Craigslist. As the demand for donor eggs increases, so too have ways to find donors and link them with waiting couples.

The word “donor” is a misnomer. Women are paid for their donation, receiving up to $10,000 per donation, with multiple donations allowed. With laws in other countries barring compensation, the United States has become the center of the booming egg business, matching donors with prospective parents through registries and brokerages, and targeting college students burdened by school loans as donors.

Along with egg donation, sperm donations have increased as well in the last decade. Demand by infertile heterosexual couples and lesbian couples has increased, along with an increasing acceptance of single motherhood. New practices and approaches to managing donations have also fueled this trend. Donors may now be either anonymous, or “identified,” so that prospective mothers can browse a directory of donors for photographs and information such as family history, hobbies and preferences. Although the practice of identifying donors has increased, a recent survey of sperm bank clients revealed that a majority (38%) still preferred anonymous donors. However, the number of respondents who intended to let the child decide about having contact with the donor jumped by 29% in a one-year period.

Unlike egg donation, compensation for sperm donation remains low, with compensation starting at around $100 per anonymous donation. However, open donation and a willingness to share personal information and photographs can lead to higher pay. Donors can make multiple donations, with some fathering up to 100 offspring.

As the population ages, new trends in egg and sperm donation provide even more options, particularly in the United States, where the business of donation faces minimal regulation and maximum profits.

Electric cruiser

Modern electric bicycle — the comfortable, ecologically pure vehicle demanding the minimum expenses and thus as much as possible compact and mobile. Concerning high-speed characteristics on a horizontal site of road the electric bike without ceremony can to overtake a usual sports bicycle.

Electric happiness

Electric bicycleTry to sweep on a usual bicycle with a speed of 25-30 km/h within 2 and more hours and you will understand, that the era of usual bikes for overcoming of long distances actually comes to an end… Travelling with comfort on this bike, you give yourselves unforgettable pleasure from possession this electric miracle!

Small bikeIn the USA, Japan, France and other most developed countries already now the electric cruiser can quite replace the second family car which usually use for trips on small distances, for example for shoping or to a work place.
In garages, parkings, homes — the electromotorcycle takes places five times less, than the very small-sized car. And the most important thing, this type of transport does not pollute environment.

The bicycle was the first invention which has allowed the person to move only at the expense of own muscles. But as soon as a bicycle was born, inventors began to think how to increase power and speed.

Nation health: mission is impracticable

Apple health

More and more Americans save on a food and the matter is that notorious crisis. For 2008 products have risen in price for 17,7%, and this year increase of the prices can reach 20%. Thus to earn we became less approximately on 13%.

As strongly such statistical plug will be reflected in preferences in a choice of products, it is possible to assume, having compared shares of expenses on a food in Europe and in the USA.

In an average European family on meal 10-20% of incomes, while at us almost 43% leave. If to consider, what to save we have got used, first of all, on quality, that time to attend to health of fellow citizens which directly depends on a food.

Health of Americans about which improvement in the near future it is possible to forget became a consequence of inflation and reduction of salaries.

Preventive maintenanceSpeaking about nation health, it is impossible to forget about such important indicator for the country, as birth rate which constantly falls including because of moving of young families from villages in cities «on earnings». Crisis and inflation can do much harm and here.

The rural family on the average has three children, and in a city — only one. For this reason it is necessary to keep countrymen in native places because environment influences a way of life.

Healthy womanTo convince young families there can be only a good infrastructure and the salary. However all the same it is not enough of it. Partly low incomes in villages are guilty in huge unemployment reaching 50% because it is sometimes more favourable to people to sit on the grant, than to earn for a life pennies on heavy work.

Bad conditions of a life and absence of employment became the reason of general drunkenness in a countryside. The alcoholism, in turn, sharply reduces life expectancy of peasants, especially men.

Such problem is well familiar to Finns who yet had so a long time a similar problem, but could solve it successfully. The general director of known company Mika Koskinen has given an example one Finnish province where thanks to unemployment decrease in a countryside, life expectancy has increased for 20 years. Besides an equipment, the Finnish government was engaged also in the spiritual. Citizens urged to conduct a healthy way of life and more attentively concerns the food. Probably, experience of neighbours could help and the American province.

«Youth Bulge»

The friend has sent from England an English translation of the interview published in the Danish language with German professor Gunnar Heinsohn, having advised to read it, despite possible depressive reaction.
I would not like to read 16 pages at all, as at me and so the heap not read has collected. But having seen the beginning, I could not come off any more.

Interview was is taken concerning an exit in 2003 of its sensational book: «Sohne und Weltmacht: Terror im Aufstieg und Fall der Nationen».

Having read it, I have immediately gone on Google and have found out, that the author — the 63-year-old professor of the Bremen university, the sociologist, the economist and the researcher of a genocide. He has written set of books about rising and a decline of civilisations, since the Bronze age, the Ancient Greece, the Near-Eastern countries and finishing the Holocaust and modern Europe.

In the book «Sons and world supremacy» it gives an explanation to the phenomenon which has generated an unforeseen and inexplicable wave of terrorism and violence which breaks now our world, naming this phenomeno «Youth Bulge».

Definition of this phenomenon proves to be true elementary mathematical calculation — comparison of quantity of men at the age of 40 — 44 years with boys at the age from 0 till 4 years. Demographic failure occurs when on each 100 men at the age of 40 — 44 years are necessary less, than 80 boys at the age from 0 till 4 years. In Germany it is a parity equally 100/50, and in sector of Gaza — 100/464.

Heinsohn uses the term «demographic failure» to characterise the countries which will be incapable to resist to a priority of youth from other countries. Germany and Japan are ready to delivery to the countries similar Muslim, — to Afghanistan (100 men/403 of the boy), Iraq (100 men/351 of the boy) and Somalia (100 men/364 of the boy).
